7th April 2017 marks the completion of the public demonstration of two EZ10 driverless shuttles on the Charles de Gaulle bridge in Paris. The demonstration which was launched on 23rd January 2017, was a success in which more than 30,000 passengers were transported during this period. The lessons learned from this demonstration will help RATP, STIF and the City of Paris in future demonstrations of autonomous vehicles.
On 3rd April 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Paris between EasyMile, Taiwan’s tech company 7Starlake, and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu. This MOU will see EasyMile introduce its electric driverless shuttle EZ10, in Taiwan later this year for the EcoMobility World Festival in Kaohsiung.
On 5th April 2017, a public testing of an EZ10 driverless shuttle by CTB (a subsidiary of the RATP Dev group) was launched at Boulogne-sur-mer, in the Pas-de-Calais, France.
The EZ10 driverless shuttle will drive along the Quai des Paquebots on a 300 metres route. The demonstration will last till 8th May 2017, and will operate from Wednesday to Sunday, from 11.30am to 6.30pm.
