The province of Gelderland, initiator of the WEpod project, aims to achieve its goals for a new kind of mobility that is flexible, sustainable and socially responsible.
Two WEpods are currently being tested on the campus of Wageningen University, and after successful testing, will gradually expand its route along the Food Innovation Strip, to the Ede-Wageningen intercity railway station.
The WEpod project is lead by a consortium involving: TU Delft, Spring Innovation Management, Robot Care Systems, TNO, Mapscape and Connekt. EasyMile supplies the driverless vehicles and provides technology support to the project.
