Safety Critical Embedded System – Validation Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out validation activities to ascertain required behaviour and performance of the Safety Critical Embedded System (SCES) compared to the corresponding requirements specification
  • Manage and update of the validation documentation to satisfy functional safety audit and assessment
  • Develop a validation plan and specify the essential tasks and activities for the SCES validation.
  • Review the SCES release against the system requirements to ensure that all of these are fulfilled
  • Evaluate the conformity of the SCES release against the requirements of ISO 26262
  • Give agreement/disagreement in the safety case and validation report to release the SCES release (Software and Hardware)
  • Contribute to the improvement of the autonomous vehicle safety state of the art
  • Being part of the SCES development team, actively contribute to the success of the team

Essential:

Fluent in English
Degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Embedded Systems
Experience with a hands approach with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and safety-critical systems
Familiar with embedded software and C Programming
Good culture in Safety Critical systems, with background in avionics, automotive, railway or medical domains.

Desirable:

Experience in Quality Assurance
Experience with independent assessors, accreditation bodies and authorization processes
Experience in ISO 26262 (automotive industry, ADAS) or DO-178B/C, DO-333 (avionics, IMA, flight controls)
Knowledge of formal method / static analysis (Frama-C)
Knowledge of complex semi-conductor components
