Sales Manager – Australia & New Zealand

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible to drive new business growth within the Australia & NZ region. You will manage the sales strategy and pipeline in order to drive commercial results and maximise growth, with a key focus on profitability.
This position can be based in Adelaide or Sydney with frequent travels across the country (50% to 75% of time) and reporting to the Managing Director ANZ.

Responsibilities include:

• Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities and implement strategies to maximise sales and margin growth
• Prospects identification and qualification including:
o Client’s requirements, budget, timing qualification
o Participation to technical requirements qualification in coordination with the pre-sales and technical teams
• Management of the end to end sales process including:
o Sales strategy and implementation per territory and segments
o Day to day management of sales process
o Coordination of responses to RFIs/RFPs and former proposals
o Coordination of proof of concepts, demos and sites visit
o Drafting of business proposals
o Pipeline management
• Contracts negotiations on items including software licences, professional service and maintenance
• Closing and contracts signings
• Account management and requirement to work closely with delivery and field service teams on projects and after sales support
• Improve the company´s competitive and commercial position through business growth and development
• Engaging with the whole driverless vehicles ecosystem including state and federal transport authorities, regulators, transport operators, lobby and industry groups
• Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times
• Other duties include but are not limited to organisation and participation to industry events and promotional activities

Preferred Experience

Skills and experience
• Proven track record in selling complex IT/electronic products and services, or transport solutions
• Prior experience in successfully selling new technology products preferred
• Tertiary degree qualification in business, engineering or related discipline
• Background in mobility, smart city or transport innovation desirable
• Strong negotiation and management skills
• Service and client oriented, sense of initiative, objective driven
• Strong and impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, positive attitude, adaptable, resilient and passionate
• Familiar and comfortable with start-up culture and ability to work effectively in a multicultural and decentralised

• Regional mobility: 50% to 75% of time
