The driverless vehicle is towing on the 2.5km external circuit at the Blaj, Romania site. The deployment swift, progressing to 3-shift operations within weeks. This first deployment aims to lay the groundwork for potential future integration across different sites.

With a load capacity of 20 tons, EZTow uses a range of sensors and cameras with real-time processing through its autonomous towing. This includes centimeter-precise localization at any moment, wide-range perception to handle obstacles and enhanced navigation including vehicle to infrastructure (V2X) communication, predictive control, and decisions at intersections and pedestrian crossings. It promises safety, reliability and efficiency in complex, outdoor environments.

The solution is the most-deployed autonomous tow tractor globally. It also operates on a number of other, major automotive manufacturing plants and logistics centers in Europe and the United States, including the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing and Daimler Truck AG, in Germany. Multiple EZTows are also in use at airports for baggage transport including at Narita International in Japan, Toulouse-Blagnac in France, and in a fleet at Changi Airport in Singapore. 

TractEasy is a joint venture between the Alvest Group and its company TLD as industrial partner, and technology-provider EasyMile. It is the independent distributor of the EZTow autonomous tow tractor.

Blaj, Roumanie, 27 août 2024 - TractEasy a été choisi par Bosch pour automatiser un flux logistique essentiel dans l'une de ses principales usines en Europe de l'Est. Le tracteur de remorquage autonome EZTow fonctionne désormais de manière autonome, 24 heures sur 24, et 7 jours sur 7, réparti sur trois équipes.

Le véhicule effectue des remorquages sur le circuit extérieur de 2,5 km du site de Blaj, en Roumanie. Le déploiement a été rapide, passant à des opérations en 3 équipes en quelques semaines. Ce premier déploiement vise à poser les bases pour une intégration potentielle sur différents sites à l'avenir.

Avec une capacité de charge de 20 tonnes, l'EZTow utilise une gamme de capteurs et de caméras avec un traitement en temps réel pour sa remorque autonome. Cela comprend une localisation précise au centimètre à tout moment, une perception à large portée pour gérer les obstacles et une navigation améliorée incluant la communication véhicule à infrastructure (V2X), le contrôle prédictif et la prise de décision aux intersections et passages piétons. Il promet sécurité, fiabilité et efficacité dans des environnements complexes en extérieur.

L’EZTow est le tracteur de remorquage autonome le plus déployé au monde. Il fonctionne également dans plusieurs autres grandes usines d’automobile et centres logistiques en Europe et aux États-Unis, y compris l'usine du groupe BMW Dingolfing et Daimler Truck AG, en Allemagne. Plusieurs EZTows sont également utilisés dans des aéroports pour le transport de bagages, notamment à l'aéroport international de Narita au Japon, à Toulouse-Blagnac en France, et dans une flotte à l'aéroport Changi à Singapour.

Blaj, Rumänien, 27. August 2024 - TractEasy wurde von Bosch ausgewählt, um einen kritischen Fertigungsfluss in einem wichtigen Werk in Osteuropa zu automatisieren. Der autonome Schlepper EZTow arbeitet autonom im 3-Schicht-Betrieb, 7 Tage die Woche.

Das fahrerlose Fahrzeug fährt auf dem 2,5 km langen externen Rundkurs am Standort Blaj, Rumänien. Der Einsatz erfolgte rasch und wurde innerhalb weniger Wochen zu einem 3-Schicht-Betrieb ausgebaut. Mit diesem ersten Einsatz soll die Grundlage für eine mögliche künftige Integration an verschiedenen Standorten gelegt werden.

Mit einer Anhängelast von bis zu 20 Tonnen nutzt EZTow eine Reihe von Sensoren und Kameras mit Echtzeitverarbeitung für das autonome Ziehen von Lasten. Dazu gehören eine zentimetergenaue Lokalisierung in jedem Moment, eine weitreichende Wahrnehmung zur Bewältigung von Hindernissen und eine verbesserte Navigation einschließlich Fahrzeug-zu-Infrastruktur-Kommunikation (V2X), vorausschauende Steuerung und Entscheidungen an Kreuzungen und Fußgängerüberwegen. Sie verspricht Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Effizienz in komplexen Umgebungen im Freien.

Die Lösung ist die weltweit am häufigsten eingesetzte autonome Zugmaschine. Diese werden auch in einer Reihe anderer großer Automobilwerke und Logistikzentren in Europa und den Vereinigten Staaten eingesetzt, darunter das BMW Group Werk Dingolfing und die Daimler Truck AG in Deutschland.
