TractEasy, a global leader in autonomous logistics solutions, is proud to add Airbus to its growing client list with the announcement of a deployment of an EZTow autonomous tow tractor at Airbus’ Saint-Nazaire site in the north-west of France.

The project is designed to automate Airbus’ standardized logistics flow between a newly-constructed facility and existing building. The EZTow autonomous tow tractor operates on a 1.5 km round-trip, transporting small parts and pieces using made-to-measure dollies specially designed for the operation. Functioning at Level 4 autonomy, the EZTow seamlessly navigates both indoor and outdoor environments, executing precise auto-hooking and unhooking maneuvers.

A Strategic Step Toward Automation

This deployment represents a strategic move to explore the technology’s potential and readiness for future large-scale deployment.

“We are thrilled to work with Airbus on this initiative,” said Richard Reno, CEO at TractEasy. “The aerospace industry is really embracing automation in logistics and this deployment proves the wide-reaching applicability of our EZTow, continuing to set the foundation for the future of efficient and intelligent material handling.”

Enhancing Operational Efficiency

  • The EZTow solution replaces Airbus’ current manually-driven tow tractors.
  • The successful integration of EZTow into a highly controlled and repetitive flow highlights the technology’s readiness to support future logistics transformation within the aerospace sector.
